My ls g3033 loader has floppy bucket syndrome. Huh. So I believe that the dump/curl valve for the loader is just your standard hyd directional control valve as opposed to a (either 3 or 4 position) valve with regen feature. Does anyone know exactly what type of loader control valve comes with these tractors and if it doesn't have regen, if ls offers one with that feature. Also the loader is a Ll3102. Thanks

Thanks for the link. I did try all the other tractors on the dealers lot and they all do it. So I'm thinking that the thing just has a standard directional valve with no regen. But as someone who works with hydraulics I prefer a print of the valve schematic to verify that

Pretty simple to tell if regen, swap the hoses and see if it will curl back if yes not a regen spool. Since the bucket is floppy I suspect it is not a regen spool.

I do have the service manual but there doesn't seem to be anything in it about the loader control valve ---- or any part of the loader for that matter.

If you learn how to fix it, I would like to know.

As JJ mentioned in that thread that I referenced, there is a "fast" and a "slow" dump. If I strictly use slow dump, I don't seem to experience the problem. I certainly do see the problem if I use fast dump.

You should be able to tell by the two dumping speeds.

Maybe your valve has regen and you are not going into the regen mode.

Some valves have regen in the first part of the lever travel and others have it to the far right.

If you have regen, you might not be able to raise the front wheels off the ground, wheres with non regen you should be able to raise the front wheels off the ground.

Depends on the valve whether there is a kit to make the valve regen.

Here is a regen kit for a Kubota valve.

Prince has parts for a regen spool.

There have been a number of these "floppy bucket threads" in the LS forum. I don't recall any dealers contributing to those threads. You guys ought to know the most about this loader valve. Any help out there ------------?????????

I've never used anything but slow dump but my bucket still flops. If I hold the lever for 45 more seconds it will become rigid.

Sounds like the system is sucking in air from somewhere.

On bucket control spools the pressure port should open to the blind end of the cylinder before the rod end port is opened to tank or what is called meter-out control. This is difficult to match the valve to the cylinders when the valve is used on multiple size cylinders.

If the rod end opens to tank the weight of the bucket will cause the cylinders to extend drawing a vacuum in the blind end of the cylinders. This vacuum is what creates the flop in you tilt cylinders. No external leaks are required for this vacuum to be created. That is why holding the valve open and keeping pressure applied in the dump mode reduces the flop.

A regenerative system usually reduces or prevents this since both work ports are tied common to the pressure port.
