Today the **** thing is back in limp mode!!! I'm guessing another 600 mile round trip to the dealer is in order!! I SO WISH i was smart enough electronically to cut all this crap off the tractor and get rid of it as other than this BS issue the tractor has been great but its awfully hard to get ANYTHING done at 1,750 RPM!!!!!! Leave it run at the max RPM which seems to be 1800 (lockout RPM) until regen is complete. It needs to be at that RPM to keep the temps up during regen.
Hope you get it sorted out soon. Probably the pulley issue you mentioned before due to your altitude.
I only wish tractor manufacturers would standardize the programming so owners could plug in our own laptops or scanner to diagnose problems using an OBD II port like vehicles have.

Man that's a tough situation, for that kind of mileage and fuel, is taking it to a more local heavy machinery repair shop an option.

Interesting brand and dealor choice for comercial work. If you have a closer dealer of a name brand manufacturer you might consider trading it in? 600 miles is an awfully long way and may be a false economy for a cheaper tractor purchase price. Sorry, sounds really agrivating.

Its not a brand thing with this tier 4 crap. Seems all the brands are having problems with it. Dealer being so far away does not help that's for sure.

I agree, but a large dealer from one of the big manufacturers with mobile service would be nice wouldn't it? It may exist but if never seen that with a LS dealer. :confused3:
NEVER had my 1725 New Holland in the shop for ANYTHING in all the years i owned it. Bought the LS as it had the same engine. It's either John Deere or Kubota in my valley BOTH of which are THOUSANDS more $$$$ and not nearly as well optioned or layed out in the cab. I also run a Grasshopper mower and that dealer is 525 miles away. Have only had a few minor issues and the warranty is now out but i was a heavy equipment mechanic for many years and Grasshopper has always sent me parts from the factory and i replaced them. Problem here is non-standard electronics and i cannot hook my laptop up to troubleshoot.
On the running at 1,800, I was able to force a regen by holding the regen button down and turning the key to "ON" for 10 seconds, Then starting. It has been sitting in the yard burning fuel for an hour and a half and is STILL in regen. Wish i was good enough at electronics to bypass this crap and gut the DPF. How can burning more fuel cleaner be environmentally friendly???

I'm sorry but I find that article a little BS. We run 8000 series JDs and most things we work on ourselves no need to hack the computer. And if there is something we can't fix the dealer is out ASAP if it's during planting or harvest. For the most part they have been trouble free. We only have one with DPF and you don't even know when it's in regen unless you notice the icon on the display. Sorry you're having trouble with your tractor and hope you get it working right soon.
