Trying to get a definitive answer on the hydraulic fluid for the front loader on my old Massey Ferguson 50C. The permitran Iii has synthetic and detergents I was told are bad for older tractors with bronze bearings. I am new to the old diesel tractor world and greatful for any help
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the air filter that is in the tractor sits horizontally, is a dry two stage. outer and inner filters measure roughly 12”L x 5.25“OD x 3”ID and 11”L x 3” OD respectivery. Any other thoughts

I have a 1966 Massey 50C. This is my 1st tractor and I love the old girl. I want to make sure I take care of her. I was told because of the bronze bearings/ Bushings that I had to use a mineral base fluid in the gear box. Something to do with detergents and additives eating the bronze. Any info...
