Kohler Commnd 22 hp V-twin Cuts Out

Looks like you'll have to remove seat and fender assembly to get to it. I do this yearly to my 1000 series, to change the transmission oil......1st time took me a while, after a few times ya get it down pat. Fender removal taken from service manual for the 3000 series. You can download entire...

Newbie just bought first lawn mower RZT 50, needs love

Having 50 plus years of experience with engine owning and maintaining....in everything from mowers to tractor trailers, I sure wouldn't recommend running a straight 30 weight oil in your engine. This chart was taken from Kawasaki's site.....take note of high temperature operating limit they...

CK series owners- clarify where you fill your engine oil: location on engine

Not a picture, but a parts diagram. You can see how breather tube comes off of the side of valve cover, near the top. Also, it is only a few inches to the port/nipple on the intake manifold. The problem some have had with oil infiltrating the manifold during an oil change, is easily solved by...

CK series owners- clarify where you fill your engine oil: location on engine

I have never been a fan of crankcase breathers routed to the intake manifold.....so I disconnected mine (at the manifold), added an extension, and ran it down the side of the block, to near the bottom of the engine. Placed a vacuum cap on the manifold nipple. This won't stop oil from flowing out...

    Wix vs WixXP oil filter

Both of the filters you listed have the same dimensions, flow rate, thread size, and bypass valve. The only difference is the filtering media....and the price. If one fits, so will the other......and so will a NAPA 1334, which is the made by, and exactly the same as the Wix. I don't know what...

    Kioti Compact Kab

I bought my cab back in November of 2011, and wouldn't be without one anymore. Installed it myself....but that's another story, for another time. It can be warm in the summer while mowing, but with the front and rear windows slung open, it is bearable. Then, by removing one screw and bracket...

Liquid ballast in CK rear tires

Back in the 80's, I bought a Kubota B8200 that came from the dealer with unloaded tires. Didn't have it too long before I realized they needed something put in them. At that time, antifreeze was somewhere around $2 a gallon.....so I put 7 gallons of it, and 14 gallons of water in each tire. It...

    1000 hrs on a 1000 series?

It can be done. My 2005 LT1050 surpassed the 1000 hour mark today, and now reads 1.5 hrs. I was a bit disappointed when it clicked from 999.9 to 0.0....thought it would read 1000.0...but they just didn't build enough digits into the meter (reminds me of the older car odometers). Still runs and...

    LTX 1050 deck belt problems

Not a very good copy...but can be zoomed in....might help you get an idea of proper routing.....I kinda think you have the spring connected wrong....it definitely lies under the belt, and doesn't come close to rubbing against it

Engine specs all models...pre- 'Tier IV'

This is something I had saved to my documents a while back.....thought some of you might find it informative....The charts contain horsepower and torque curves, and fuel consumption rates.....Hill Billy Bob http://www.tapimer.fi/data/attachments/Catalogue%20sep%2009.pdf

I'm just one of those people who doesn't care about, or for, his stuff....or how long it lasts....this is plain to see below....Hill Billy Bob PS: My Pontiac is still powered by it's original 326 engine

    2006 ck 20 oil pressure

What weight oil are you using?...Have you pulled the dipstick and checked to see if it is over full (fuel or coolant leaking into pan...and thinning the oil)? I know we have different engines, but you can see the pressure mine carries at idle, with oil at almost 190*F.....HB Bob
