Hydraulic couplers are too tight to move by hand special pliers/wrench ?

I was doing ok when my BX had them 4 in a row decently spaced so i could easily grab the collar and push the male fitting in with little to no problem but with my MF GC1725 they are 2 over 2 stacked and its tight around each fitting. I just can't get any leverage Yup saw that forecast i am...

Hydraulic couplers are too tight to move by hand special pliers/wrench ?

Yes very carefully worked the stick to relieve all pressure. I just cannot get good leverage with this 2 over 2 configuration. I may try fabricating something to push on the collar I've had a BX and that was 4 in a row easy. This MF stacked config is really testing me !

    Busted Snow Blower Driveshaft

Thanks for the reply. I did try the local drive shaft shop and they would not touch it. But I did keep all the parts so if I do some travels to the southern part of my state I will find a more qualified shop and drop it off for repair.

    Busted Snow Blower Driveshaft

Were you able to rebuild this shaft ? I bought the u joints at NAPA (thank you for the pics I pulled the part numbers from) But my dealer strongly advised me not to do so as it spins at 2000 RPM and they felt it would be a safety issue as well as a vibration issue. $525 bucks, but he had one...

Hydraulic couplers are too tight to move by hand special pliers/wrench ?

Guys I am very grateful for the replies it validates that i am not the only one seeing this as an issue. My hands are not as strong as a few years ago so I really struggle trying to get leverage. I tried using a pry bar with a good handle to carefully push back the sleeve and a vise grip to...

    Busted Snow Blower Driveshaft

Mine just blew out last week the U joint at the Mid coupler got taken out and the quick hitch assembly tore away from the front bumper. I surmised that the weld on the hitch plate that secures the square stock to create the mounting lip failed causing all this calamity. I was able to get a...

Snow BX2750 Snow Blower Mid PTO Shaft Blow Out

On my MF GC 1725 my Mid PTO front mount snow blower driveline shaft blew out at the u joint for the transmission coupler. In the ensuing calamity the front blower quick hitch tore away from its bumper mount. Seems the welded square stock rod that creates the lip for the Hitch to mount to the...

Hi Folks just a quick question: My hydraulic couplers on my GC1720 are very hard to take off and put on due to the tight location and heavy springing Does anyone use a special wrench or tool to get a better grip and apply better pressure ? My hands just don't have the strength in such a tight...
