TYM 233 Gauges and Tach going out

I have the version from manual as well, but it's way too low resolution to interpret pin-outs. The colored wires kinda help, but it's not ideal. I'm assuming the shop version is a six page fold-out that was shrunk to 1 page for the user manual.

    T233/273 electrical wiring diagram?

Has anyone come across a legible version of the wiring diagram for a TYM T233/273? I have the shop and parts manuals and the page showing wiring is illegible. I suspect is a 6 page fold-out that was scanned and reduced to a single page. Almost worthless. After yet another run-in with mouse pee...

TYM T273 Moves backward but not forward. Help!

"The pedal just going down without any action was because the bolt was not tight enough on the shaft which controlled the valve going from forward to reverse. Still no movement forward." I'm a little confused by this. So, was the pedal not connected, but now it is? I ran over a log a few weeks...

    T273 Transmission Toast?

So, quick update. New drive-shaft arrived last Friday and it's a night and day improvement in engineering. It telescopes and has a U-joint on each end. No O-rings, just a single G5 bolt on each end that you tighten down. It took me no more than 10 min to install the new shaft through the...

    T273 Transmission Toast?

Bud may have hit the jackpot here. This is a pair of photos looking at where the drive shaft connects to transmission housing. In the first photo you can see the finger splines of the transmission input shaft (oil filter is orange). Now, if I physically slide the shaft backwards towards the...

    T273 Transmission Toast?

Hey all, It's been awhile since I've been on TBN. Everything was finally stable with my T273 - until yesterday. After hauling a few buckets of pea gravel I went to park. I shifted from Low to High range (something I rarely do) and drove about 100 ft without incident. Then bang it just gave out...

    T273 Glow Plug Timer?

Indeed I do. As listed in the TYM parts catalog (PM me if you need a PDF copy): Timer, Glow Part No: 16626692100 (it's also stamped on the component for convenience) I did search around for cross-listed alternatives, but couldn't find any. Based on the Korean writing on the part, I'm guessing...

    T273 Glow Plug Timer?

She's dead Jim. . . Removed the cover. . . well more accurately destroyed the cover. I took a picture of the components on an old school bread board and it's pretty obvious that the timer is dead. Measured several resistors that are now open, and at least one cap that's bad too. Even if I...

    fuel pump problem?

Hi, all, I've posted some related electrical issues on another thread, but this specifically refers to the fuel pump (DAE WHA 1699-2052-300). The question is simple. If I disconnect the pump from it's connector and place 12V (from a battery) across the appropriate terminals, should it turn on...

    T273 Glow Plug Timer?

Hi all, Been awhile, but I'm back. I'm the proud owner of a TYM273 tractor (circa 2005). About 6 months back I developed some trouble with the glow plug system. When I turn the key to the left (position 3), the glow plug "coil" indicator fails to light, and more importantly I no longer hear the...

    Help! Oil drain plug T273??

Okay, maybe I'm just an idiot, but where in the heck is the oil drain plug on the T273?? I seriously can't find any "view" that resembles that shown in the service manual. Is the oil pan split due to the drive axle? Here's what I see looking forward from the HST filter. I assume this must be...

    Tires  tire pressure?

Hey fellas, Probably a stupid question, but can anyone provide me inflation specs (p.s.i.) stock front/rear tires for a T273 with bioballast loaded rears and a FEL? I've looked through my user and service manuals and there's plenty of info on tires (type, size, etc.), but nothing that looks like...

To rebuild or not to rebuild this old engine?

A couple of pics of the main and rod bearings. I don't have any idea who manufactured these (part number FM183X CP QT 010?), and didn't get any hits on the web, but it does look as though both the main and rod bearings are 0.01 "Under/over-sized". Can anyone confirm this? Backside of front main...

To rebuild or not to rebuild this old engine?

I would describe the scratches as barely able to "catch" a finger nail. I can basically feel that they are there. Here's how the scratches look in a close-up of Cyl #2. It's also fairly apparent that there is an oil ring imprint rusted into the cyl wall. These ring imprints are also pretty...

To rebuild or not to rebuild this old engine?

Actually, the original plan was for an in tractor rebuild, but I had trouble locating the proper hone and decided it was worth the extra effort to have a closer look at the crank and camshafts. I also enjoy taking things apart - the engineering is remarkable when you consider no computers are...
