3 million posts on TBN by 11 Sep 2012?

Looking at post IDs, TBN is at 2,942,313 posts (as of 12:21 Eastern time today). It looks like TBN has averaged ~1231 posts/day since Jun 2010 (when TBN hit 2 million posts).
Based on that, it looks like TBN will hit 3 million posts in ~47 days or on 11 Sep 2012

I looked up my first post and (as of 12:21 Eastern) there have been almost 1.6 Million posts (1,593,006 to be exact) made on TBN since I joined back in 2008 when my first post was post number 1,349,307.

I actually just looked at that number and thought to myself....self, you're gonna be the 3 millionth post soon.

I too believe it will happen on September 11th. If not at least by the end of September. I can't wait to find out.

Attaining 3,000,000 posts by that date is certainly a possibility.

How do you look up what number your first post was?

Top left corner of each post has a number link (yours for example is #6). If you click on that link it will take you to the post http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/news-feedback/252768-3-million-posts-tbn-11-a.html#post2944030. The number on the end (post2944030 in your case) means that that post was the 2944030th post in the database. I did a search for posts by me in reverse date order (ie: oldest first) and that was the number of my first post.
The number of posts that you get this way will be slightly different from the postcount on the front page as this number does not count deleted posts (of which there were a 1500-2000 last time I compared the numbers).

we have came a long way since back in early 2008 when you, sixdogs, and I started posting. I looked up a post of mine on may 19 2008 and it was 1,403,324. Using Sixdogs post on Jan 13 @ 1,306,684, back then it seems we were only averaging 760 posts a day. We aint too far from double that right now:thumbsup:

Not sure if that was my first post on not though??? Cause when looking at my "find latest posts" in my profile, it only shows 50 pages and 4986 posts

Edit: well instead of editing, I thought I'd help the post count

I just looked at a few guys with TONS of posts like soundguy, and it appears it only shows the most recent 50 pages of posts

Is there a way to look farther back??

Edit: kinda funny, but 50 pages of posts ago (5000posts) only goes back to last november for soundguy:laughing:
