I worked for the Army Corps of Engineers in a "secure" facility.
After 9-11 they spec'd and built an expensive new gatehouse that had 1 gate which ALL traffic had to pass through. It had a 12.5' roof clearance over the traffic area. Then they put down the gravel and pavement. First delivery truck crumpled the roof, and the truck.
They built a new "go around"
