Cat got sucked into my parents swamp cooler.

About 30 minutes ago.

Me and my dad had just put in a swamp cooler in their mobile home window and turned it on. We took the front cover off for just a minute to fix a link to the louver.

And one of our almost 2 year old cats decides to get curious and have a look for himself. He steps up to the blower and he somehow gets sucked in.

We shut it down. We feared that he was dead. Nope he pushes and climbs himself back out the top. And although he's missing some fur. He's doing great.

Lucky Cat.

Ps. We'll make sure to shut it down before taking the cover off. Don't want another cat sucked in.

In reality it was sad, but I can just see the cartoon of that and it would be hilarious!. I'm glad the cat's okay. You probably won't be able to get it to go near that swamp cooler again.

Must have the "squirrel cage" type fan, Most I have had did. The few cats I have had that got in near a rotatory type, in my truck for instance, lost more than hair!
