I think at this point it would be hard to imagine a better SB than Tom Brady versus Cam (fig) Newton...!

I know Newton has been in the league for 5 years or so but I don't really think he's been " officially" welcomed yet...and even with the first round bye...the lack of (playoff) experience may be an awakening...?

IMO, what's as interesting as the upcoming playoffs....is the coaching changes...I wonder how many offers for interviews Jon (boy) Gruden will get to prove once and for all if he is the real deal or just a wannabe who's only real claim to fame is on the back of the previous head coach...?

At any rate...what say you?

Bias here but I think the Stillers (pittsburgheze) have a shot if they can be offensively consistent...The defense is somewhat weak in places but serviceable...

They have proven to be able to take on the good teams but seem to bomb out on the dregs...Never understood that. Tomlin might be mailing it in on those weeks and the players follow his lead perhaps.

NE has had a tough end of season so who knows there...Haven't followed too many others.

See what Cinci has to bring to the yinzers Sat night.

Don't forget Peyton Manning and the Broncos. He came in the game in the second half and led them to a win last week and the title. May be his last chance at a superbowl.

Sorry, but football just doesn't appeal to me today as in the days from Mean Joe Greene, "Hacksaw" Reynolds, Terry Bradshaw, Dick Butkus, John Madden up to those of Tom Landry, Joe Theismann, John Riggins, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith, The "Hogs" and slightly beyond. Probably watch some of the Super Bowl, but haven't watched a single game other than Super Bowls in years.

IMO the best pro football will be played this weekend and next...
The odds generally favor the teams with the most post season success...but the playoffs are intense and exciting...and can be unpredictable...
Super Bowls are usually hit or miss for a finale game...

I was planning on watching all the games today and tomorrow(got to get as much football as possible as the season is almost done), but my neighbor just called to ask me to take her to Eatonville to pick up a tractor she recently bought from an estate sale. She plans on road marching back here so I will be doing escort duty on the way back. She's a tough old gal and has done this trip in the past when she borrowed the same tractor while installing her power and telephone conduits. She wanted to do it tomorrow but I don't want to miss the Sea Hawks game
