I have on '05 JD790 with a 3TNV engine. I was adjusting the valves using the operator's manual and it appears that either the manual is wrong or my flywheel is wrong.... Anyway, the manual says to turn the flywheel until the cylinder 1 mark lines up with the housing mark - and then do the same...

Can you guys that have 790s help me out? I was looking at mine on the trailer and the tie rod has a curve in it (bend??). Is it supposed to be straight? I think it should from the Deere website - I'll check the toe as well. Thanks -

I have a 300 loader on my 790 and was wondering what the holes at the top of the uprights are for. There is a large hole with a plastic grommet in it and a smaller hole - on both sides. I was thinking that you can tie the uprights together for stability of the loader??? I guess the grommet...

I have noticed over the last couple of weeks that my SCV is grabby when I pull it across towards my leg. All other positions are smooth - but towards my leg, it grab and sometimes I have to hit it to come over. I brought it by the JDD and one of the guys excercised it a bunch and it got better...

Just curious - the early 790 was a 30hp tractor - mine is rated at 27hp - what changed adn is there any way to get that back....or more? I know diesel trucks can be modified through component and software - is there anything to further improve the performance of the Yanmar? Thanks

Hi again, does anybody know how much the R1 tires/wheels run for a 790. Also, if I fill my R4s, how much weight would I be adding per tire? Can I just use water (in texas)? Finally, I have heard a lot of good results filling th R4s - any comments on how it should be would be great. thanks
