Will B3030 handle 6 foot brush hog?

My 5' brush hog is about worn out, and I plan to replace it soon. The 3030 handles the 5' hog easily, so I'm thinking of upsizing to a 6' hog. Any advice is appreciated.

    red hot muffler on LT1045

I just bought a used LT1045. Today my wife mowed with it for the first time. She had been mowing about 30 minutes when I noticed that sparks were coming from the muffler. I had her stop, and on closer inspection I could see that the muffler was bright red. It was so hot that the front tires were...

    Don't break your headlight

Well, my son lifted some lengthy metal with the FEL and swung it into the right headlight, cracking the lens. I thought no big deal, I'll pick up another lense for $30 or so. In my dreams - They sell the headlight assembly as one piece. I was quoted about $150 from two dealers. I guess we'll be...

    I love it

We don't often get significant snow in central Oklahoma, we did this week. After I pulled my wife's car out of the driveway I put the B3030 to work on my long driveway and had it cleaned up in no time. I like that tractor more every time I get on it.

    cold weather start

I have been surprised at how much moderately cold weather affects my B3030 when starting. I notice a significant difference in starting at just 50 degrees. Is this normal? We don't usually have really cold or prolonged winters here, and I don't expect to use it much in the winter since it gets...

    t post puller

I made myself a T-post puller today to use with my tractor. It worked like a charm so I thought I would share it. I'm sure I'm not the first to think of it, but it might help someone. I just slide it over the post about half way down and hook the chain to my bucket hook, then lift. It is about...

After reading the very informative PTO information on tractorsmart - http://www.tractorsmart.com/main/Tractor%20Power%20Take%20Off%20Types.htm - I am wondering if I need an overrunning clutch on my B3030. Should I be using one - especially for brushhogging? Here is the section of the article in...

    Price Check  B3030 price

After much research I have decided on a B3030. I have price quote of 16,900 on a 3030 with L403. 1450 on a 60" Woods RFM. Is that a good price, or should I be able to do better?

decided on size - narrowed to 2 brands

I sat on a lot of tractors today. I started out thinking I wanted a tractor in similar to Kubota's L2800 in size and power. I now think something like a B7800 is more suitable for my needs. I have 5 acres, with about 2 acres lawn and 3 acres pasture. I need to be able to mow (RFM) and brushhog...

what to compare & dealer recommendations

I'm in the market for a new tractor. The old 2N has served well, but I want a newer tractor and FEL. The Kioti CK25 has my interest, but I would like to compare it to other brands. What models from JD, Kubota, and New Holland are comparable to the CK25? Any recommendations would be appreciated...

    Price Check  TC30 price

I've taken care of my 5 acres with my trusty 2N for years, but as it gets older and crankier (me too) I would like to buy a compact tractor to make the work easier. I wasn't planning on buying for about a year, but if a really good deal came along I would take it. There is a tractor down the...

Help! Which one should I get?

I want to buy a Kubota with front end loader. I have 5 acres and will be using the tractor primarily for mowing, landscaping, and maintaining a long gravel drive. Due to the slope of the property I have a lot of work to do after leveling a pad for my house. I plan to use a lot of large rocks for...
