Fine Brass Powder in Front Wheels

I'm in the process of replacing oil seals and O-rings on the front wheels of my Jinma 354. Found one wheel with the ball spacer from the bearing chewed and mangled. On the other wheel there was a good bit of brass shavings, ranging from glitter sized to powder sized. I looked at all the...

Loud Popping and Puffs of Black Smoke

I was mowing a hill Saturday. I though I could hear an occasional pop from the engine/exhaust. I pulled my ear protection and listened but could hear it. Another 3 minutes and I heard a much louder pop (like the sound of a backfire). Now at idle it pops (loudly, like a gun shot) every...

    Howse Blade Castle Nut

I've got a Howse 601S (6' cutter). I'd like to change the blades but want to know in advance the size of the castle nut on the blade bolt, so I'll have the right tools going in. Does anyone know the nut size? 1.5"? 1.75"? Thank you in advance for your advise. JohnJ

    3-Point Hitch  Bouncing 3Point - Jinma 354

I changed the hydraulic fluid and filter on my 354; now the 3pt bounces. The arms drop a few inches and the bounce back up to their set position. Any ideas for a fix? Your insight and experience are greatly appreciated. JohnJ

My Jinma will not start. I've got voltage from the battery, thru the ignition switch and clutch switch. Gauges work when key is in on position, but when I turn the key to start, I get nothing, no clicks, nothing. Last time this happened I changed the starter solenoid and it cranked right up...

    Front Wheel Woes

The outer oil seal went out on my Jinma 354. The tractor only has 140 hours on it, so I was not expecting it. One metal side of the seal fell off and was ground up in the gears. Does anyone have an idea what may have caused the issue? I really don't want to replace the seal, only to have the...

    Adjusting Toe-In -Jinma 354

hello Everyone, I've seen this topic discussed, but frankly the discussion has left me more confused. The Toe on my front wheels (Jinma 354) is off badly. I can turn one wheel 25 percent to the left and the other is still pointing right. The instruction I've seen says to loosen the lock nuts...

Knocking in Rear End of Jinma 354

I apologize for the double post in the Parts/Repair forum: My Jinma 354 has always had a slight knock in the rear end. However, lately its been getting really loud. I can't tell if it's drive train or PTO. The knocking speeds up with the trottle and it is there regardless of whether the PTO is...

After just a few hours of use I lost a shaftpin. Is there supposed to be a clip or keeper pin holding the shaftpin in place?
