    MF 245 overheating

Hello, I'm working on a 1979 MF 245 with an AD3-152 Perkins diesel for a neighbor that over heated and blew the head gasket. Pulled the head, had it surfaced, installed it with a new gasket. Got it started and it still wants to heat. I noticed the top hose didn't get hot so I figured the...

Finally got to use the new to me 881!

The flat stabilizers work good with these old tractors. I'd try to find some OEM stabilizers as they have far better metal in them than the cheap aftermarket ones do. If you can,it's best to use one on each side to keep from bending the one stabilizer. Here's a pic of OE stabilizers with the...

Swapping an 800 carb to an 801 tractor

Hadn't thought of that. Right now with the carb that's on it, the plugs tend to run black and slightly wet. It's got a cheap set of points in it now. I have a good set of Standard brand points and condenser I've squirreled away,I might have to install on them. Got to thinking about the flanges...

Swapping an 800 carb to an 801 tractor

I'm running an 861 powermaster tractor now and was wanting to know if I switch carbs from an 800, will the 801 be running too lean with the smaller 800 carb? The 861 runs great, but it's a little hard on gas. All I run in it is non-ethanol gas. I figure the motor will loose some hp, but it has...

    Working on a friend's 861 Powermaster

Buddy of mine had some issues with the tractor not starting and fuel leakage. Got those problems solved with a GOOD coil from NAPA, a new fuel shut off valve under tank and an auxiliary shut off at the fuel bowl. I thought I'd pop a few pics up cause it really takes a good pic. Actually,the...

Fuel injector pump leak on a 4610

Hello everyone. Been a while since I posted. Got a problem with the 4610 su. It seems to have fuel dripping out of the bottom of the pump from a bolt like stem that threads up through a cap. I have replaced two O-rings twice on the stem with regular auto o-rings and it still drips. Evidently...

Anybody else use their naa,600,800 etc for wood hauling. This site sent a message about a thread on handling firewood a while back and I didn't see many carryalls behind tractors. Are most using trailers?

    New member with a '57 660

Hello everyone, just joined. Thought I'd introduce myself. Been around tractors all my life. My Dad farmed and I helped him. I've had an old model 660 for about 17 years and inherited a '89 4610 SU from my dad. Both have been great tractors.
