New FAE drum - with pictures New style FAE drum and teeth. The worn teeth are at 75 hours, not too happy with durability. At $59 a piece and 44 of them I certainly don't want to do that every other week. Really they needed to be changed at 40 hours.

Looking at getting a set of non carbide teeth for the FAE. Has anybody tried the FAE type D cutting teeth or the Quadco chipper type? The FAE looks to have a bolt going from mowing side up, it looks like it would get pretty worn facing down. Just looking for a comparison. Thx

This weeks job has 18" of snow. I live about 1:45 away and we have about 4". It makes getting a good low stump a little more difficult. I can't get my truck in to the field which makes fueling up tougher.

I have seen a few places offering aftermarket tracks for ASVs. Has anyone use a non-ASV set of tracks? I was quoted 4600 for a set, a little under 2000 less then the factory ASV tracks.

I have to bid a job with 45 degree slopes on the back side of dikes. Will the engine be OK if I mow straight up and down the slope? I am worried about the oil sump sucking air and cooking the motor? This is rotary work not mulching.

If I am using a mulching head on a skid steer that leaves all the wood shredded on the ground. what's the best way to get from that to field? I have a root rake grapple to remove smaller stumps amd rake some of the wood out but how clean does it need to be to seed and get a good finished...

This week I cleared two acres for a hunting club. It was very dense with a mix of Autumn Olive, Multi Flora Rose, Cherry, Apple and various vines. It took more then a day per acre to get to this. Lost some teeth and popped out a headlight and passed the 300 hour mark.
