It's aluminum vs. cast iron. I don't have concerns there because I opted for the KTAC insurance so if there is any sort of catastrophe besides act of war, negligence on my part, or terrorism, the unit is covered. I'll be operating the unit in a residential setting as well, with limited...

Thank you Richard, gonna break her in proper this weekend by moving 1 whole yard of 6A limestone lol - gotta start small 😂

Ha! Honestly you can't go wrong with any modern diesel... I almost pulled the trigger on that CK2510 but changed my mind for a few reasons mainly dealer support related. 1. There's a dealer close to me, however, they are a small operation and longevity was a concern. The other one nearby was...

She showed up early this morning, what a beast! I drove her around for a bit and let my son get some seat time long enough to snap a photo or two. Thanks again for the advice, this is plenty tractor for my property.

Welp, put a deposit down on a crated CUT today. Got a sweet deal on a "Kaboter" LX2610 (non-SU) model and after test driving, I am a huge fan. The size is on the larger side for our current property, but not too small if we upgrade to 5-10 acres in the near future. For reference, it is bigger...

    New CX2510!

Thank you guys, it was a tossup between the CX2510 and the LX2610 Kubota and I can't justify paying $6-7k more for an extra rear remote and one additional HST range. I debated on getting the CK2610 because it is a much more capable machine, but sadly it's way too big for my property.

    New CX2510!

In the market for one of these, potentially pulling the trigger in a few weeks. Do you still like your CX2510? Any issues? Cons? I am a big fan of the capabilities on paper considering the size. Has the 2 range made you wish you had a 3rd range or are you normally operating in low?

I will do that, I believe the Kubota B/LX is cast aluminum vs. cast iron but I could be wrong. It was actually your recommendation and a lot of the favorable reviews on the forum that had me convinced to check out the Kioti. I was impressed.

You are correct and I was wrong! I don't know which LS I looked at but I was comparing L2501 vs CK2610 vs LS MT225s which is not a good comparison lol. My apologies. The LS lineup was a bit confusing to me. Now that I have seen a few of their models, the MT225HE is a solid contender against the...

Well, the L2501 is out of the picture. Jeff was 100% correct that it is way too big for my property and will be difficult to maneuver. I was also considering the CK2610 Kioti after considering some recommendations and that is also entirely too big. I got a quote today for a Kioti CX2510HST with...

😂😂😂 I think maybe the limited cat 1 is a better generalization for SCUTs. I've see belly mowers on compact Tractors I thought were way too heavy to mow a lawn with.

No worries, I appreciate the insight. I am impressed with the specs on the Kioti and might check them out. The CK2510 on paper outclasses the L2501 and is roughly $4k cheaper. I'll have to check with Kubota on the cast iron vs. Aluminum rear axle on the L2501/2502 - I'm assuming the LX2610 has...

Appreciate the feedback - The L2501 is still on the back of my mind, I can't shake it 😂 I'm going to see if any of the local dealers have the L2501/LX2610SU in stock to see if I can test drive and have an opportunity to test FEL performance. Thanks for the feedback - I have plenty of work on my...

I had no idea this was an option - thanks for sharing! I think for simplicity's sake, I'll stick with the cat 1 tractors so I can also rent implements and borrow some from friends without comparability issues. Appreciate your advice - between your experience, Jeff's advice, and talking to a...

Hi Willy, Thanks for the tip - I really like the SA424 but am afraid it's not going to do the variety of tasks I need here and elsewhere. The YT235 is amazing but sadly, it's going to be very pricey ($30-33+k locally for one without a cab). If I lived in Oklahoma or Atlanta, one could be had...

Thank you, agreed. The extra $3-5k is worth being able to use and adjust a wider range of 3ph equipment - especially an auger. Regarding the LX2610SU, do you have any feedback on options/attachments? I spec'd one online and selected the following, anything I may not need or may need - I'm not...

apologies, had a lot of thoughts to get out while on the treadmill, made sense at the time 😂 Let me rewrite my point: 1. You mentioned the 2610SU @ roughly 1900lbs and the SA424 @1700lbs wouldn't net a discernible difference in the field. Point taken. 2. Yanmar 424 is a big SCUT (They call it...

This is great info! Thank you. I've read great reviews on EA grapples and will check out the toothbar. I have also considered selling my HSS1332ATD in favor of a snow pusher or rear mount snowblower, might as well use the tractor for everything if I can.

Sorry I should have clarified better, I meant digging around the posts with the BH, I do not want to strain the hydraulic implements by trying to lift the posts 😁 If I won't notice much difference between the SA424 vs. LX2610SU weight, what sets the LX2610SU apart from the SA424 (assuming they...

Thanks Jeff, I have 12 Kubota dealers within 50 miles with the closest being 10 miles and I lied earlier, there are 3 Yanmar within 80 miles with the closest being 15 miles (although they were the priciest and I wouldn't buy equipment from them). For deck posts, I was considering tractor...

Yeah the ability to work around stuff easily is definitely one upside to the smaller SA424 - dealers around me are charging roughly $19.5-22.5 for the SA424 which is why I considered the "upgrade" to the L/LX. I also do like that the SA424 is relatively easy to service. Tuneup parts aren't...

Hello all, long time lurker, first time posting. The CFO has given me the green light to purchase a tractor in the next couple of months and I have narrowed down my choices between two Japanese manufacturers. I am not considering any of the South Korean brand names due to my affinity for...
