Can anyone give me some insight on how my oil bath air filter is clogging the tractor so it wont run? if i remove the filter at least it will run, but as soon as i reassemble it, it dies. tried to clean it and put new oil in it, no dice. any thoughts?

I saw a photo of a B6000 with the rear wheels put on 'inside out' so to speak. After looking at my axle, it does appear that you could take the wheels off, and put them on inside out to gain maybe an inch or two of width. Is this worth it? (the schrader valves would be in the inside though)
