what side of the primary pulley goes in toward engine on a 1981 jd214, thick side or narrow side?? how about you been there?

i jsut purchased a 1981 214, i am kind of restoring same, have it running but i have a bad vibration when moveing m a lot worse on a hill or incline steering even shakes. any suggestions would of great help before i tear it down?? thnx

my 214 starts fine runs for about 10-20 mins, then starts to run rough, motor shakes like craze, sits for about half hours , starts again fine does same thing over and over. parts i have changed, coil, condenser, points, new carb, some wiring, seat switch, fuel cap, new muffler, drain valve on...

hi, i dont ask often but im in a bind for info. i have a 1982 jd214 and with a snowblower, once this winter it threw the oil out the filler tube, and a higher rev,s when snowblowing the throttle wants to idle back and seems like the carb is building up fuel as it blws blac smoke, if i idle down...

hi i have a 1986 jd214 and it will not run right, has had new carb 2 yrs ago, new ponts and condenser, new coil, just runs terrible, muffler has a fair sized hole in it. starts well, new air filter. soon as i start to mow it just wants to miss and spit, backfire , runs alrite for maybe 15 mins...

my jd 214 snow blower just stopped, belts are fine, clutch will not engage, new switch a couple years ago, was working fine then just stopped. any help will really help,

my 1983 214 the engine stalls soon as i hit the electric clutch switch, disconnected wiries to clutch, still stalls engine. sometiime it backfires, and black smoke, tried another switch still does it, help???/

hi, 1st time here, i have a few questions hope someone can answer im sure. i have a deere 214, i actually bought in wisc, a couple of years back, veru good machine, small problems like everyon e has. anyway c.u i live in northwestern ontario, you know where the fishing is great.
