Personally, I find it awkward to drive my BX, carrying my posthole diggers. I usually just carry them myself or haul 'em over in the trailer. Holding on to two wooden handles and trying to operate the BX is not a skill I've quite mastered yet.

Actually, I've read along and learned quite a bit. My neighbor John has one and I can use it anytime. Just wanted to study up before bothering to borrow it.

I have a landpride PD10 (9" auger). I bought it for two reasons. Planting and Deck post piers. I used it to drill four holes 24" deep to plant 10-15gal holes. They needed to be cleaned up; but a lot better than digging it by hand. 1 gallon plant, are quick and super easy. Last week I used it to drill 18 piers for deck project. 9" hole x 30" deep, manually cleaned up hole to 10" diameter and put quicktubes in for forms. Saved hours.

The unit itself is built tough. I wish I had the down force option as when it hits clay, I have to let it run a bit and bounce it up and down till it pokes through. Then it dives into the ground.

Summary, I love it and won't be selling it. Got off Craigslist for 600.

Other implements (circa 2006):
54" Lpride Boxblade: lots us use.
48" Kubota Rototiller: 20 minutes of use (too many rocks in our soil)
60" Lpride backblade: 2 hours of use (box blade was much easer to use).

I have a BX24 and am looking at the Landpride PD15 for it, do you think there would be any problem using a 12" auger bit.

No. The one in my pictures is a 12" auger bit.

Just received the TSC flyer.

Their Countyline PHD is down to $420. 12" bit is $145 total $565

Everything attachments is $590 with free shipping.

It's about a wash pricewise, I'd go with the Leinbach.
