I feel "blue" after I saw what I did. Last week I moved around some branches but I didn't checked the tractor after; today when I opened the container I saw it; ouch.....:mad::mad:
I'm thinking to install a mesh screening on the existing front frame to protect the panel or any other idea????

I don't think a mesh screen would of helped. I put 1/4 plate on the front of my guard. It does block some of my lights, but I don't use it at night. If I do take it off there is only 3 bolts holding it on. I have felling that is going to cost some $$. Post back if you fix it or replace and the cost.

I cut to fit and put a piece of horse panel on mine. Horse panel is made of 0.25 inch galvanized rod welded in a 2"X4" pattern. It's stopped a couple of logs from going through my radiator already.

it is a plastic panel, I would bet you can push it out from the back side and be no worse for the wear.

One wonders why they call them "grill" guards. Don't seem to protect much. Hope it pops back out.

I would take it off and try to push it back as others have said.It comes off fairly easily.I punched a hole through the one on my 3240 with a stick.Luckily it didn't damage the radiator or anything else.I had to replace it as a lot of debris was pulled in through the hole and would plug up the rad and trans cooler.I think the part was around 80 dollars which was less than I would have thought.Good luck.

if ya going to be moving a lot of brush / limbs and/or bushing hogging in wooded area. it may be a good idea to get a "brush guard grill" heavy duty metal that wraps around the front end. and helps reduce stuff from running into the front of tractor and through the radiator. honestly i could live, if a light or panel got bushed or dented. but if radiator get nailed and began to leak. i would be much more doo doo. due to most likely not able to drive tractor back to garage to get things fixed. vs if it was a head light or panel.

Been there and done that! The screen pushes back into place. If you use another type of screen or protecter make sure you don't interfere with the air flw to the rad.

Several members have welded Expanded Metal on the front and bottom of the grill guard.

I have been looking at purchasing a grapple and fear the same thing that happened to you. I was thinking about welding/bolting some sort of heavy duty mesh plate to the back side of the grapple a little wider than the grill guard. It seems many of these dents happen when doing grapple work.

I recently did the same thing but speared my battery....luck it wasn't the radiator.I will add a mesh guard.

If that is plastic, heat it with a hairdryer before trying to push it out. Will work much easier and less chance of shattering it. IMO, those are mainly there to look good and provide a pre-filter for the radiator and the air intake.

If it dont push out, I would go for the $80 bucks. Then build off your grill guard for the future. I know there tractors, but I still like keeping them as new looking as possible.
