New 2305 and 260 BH

Thanks for everyones help on this website. Its a really usefull tool. Picked up my 2305 tlb on friday and put it to work on sunday.

Thanks ChuckinNH. My first few projects are clearing out a few brushy spot I have and digging up some small stumps. So far I have been impressed with the power of the hoe. You can run it at 1500 rpm, seems to have all its power at idle. Anyways, next time I get down to my property I will take some better pictures for TBN that actually show what I am doing. We were having so much fun with the tractor, we just took a few pics when we first got down there.

I am impressed with the fact that the hoe works so well at low rpm! I need much more rpm than that to do anything with hydraulics on my older BX22, and have to use nearly WOT to do any real work with my hoe. I'm sure that you are really going to enjoy being able to work for extended times without the extra noise, and fuel consumption!

Nice pictures! I want one ! I have a lot of 5 to 7 foot trees that need to be transplanted and I think that the Hoe would be the perfect tool for the job.

I have been thinking about one of those for a while now. Please gives us some reviews after a couple of hours on the bright new shiny machine of yours. Weather got warm here earlier this week and I wished I had already bought the tractor. Got colder again so I hopefully won't get the tractor itch for a couple more days.

Congrats! As soon as I address my storage needs, one of these will be in my shed. I did test drive one, and as you have pointed out, they work surprisingly well at idle. My dealer explained this was to help BH newbies get used to the hoe without making an expensive mistake.

Here is my 6 hour review of the BH.
Just want to say that this is my fist tractor and BH, so I have nothing to compare to.

Pros:
The hoe seems real strong. You can run it at low RPMs (1800-2300 is what the manual suggests). Dug up some stumps and curling the bucket would bust 2-3" roots (these were hardwood trees in indiana). The boom movement is quick and so is the dipper. The subframe looks stout as ****. You loose a little ground clearance under the rear, but it looks like it helps protect the tranny casting, so thats a pro/con.

Cons:
Bucket seems slow(er). The swivel seat can be tricky and annoying. The hoe is easy to bottom out on uneven terrain (long tractor with low GC). This wouldnt really bother me except there is a grease fitting right at the bottom that could get damaged.

Overall:
I love this thing. You can get in some small places with this machine and it brings real power. On a side note, I have the 8" bucket. It would dig thru clay using the dipper pretty easy.

Thanks for the update. Any new pics of the projects that you have been doing? Any particular reason that you chose the 8" bucket? Has the non-folding ROPS become a hinderance as of yet?
