........ I live on a pretty big hill and I'm not sure I'd be able to plow up with that wing plow though; sometimes I have issues just with the 7 1/2 footer on the front. If I ever made one, it would have to be easily transferred from one side to the other.
.........)

I made mine so it will mount the same on both sides. But have yet to mount it on the left side, because it has proven to work so well on the right side, even going up hill. Usually I don't put the wing on until after the first 3-4 runs to open things up. Then put on the wing and make one pass down and one back up. So quick it hardly seem worth the effort to put it on, but then it makes a big difference in getting the snow back. Fun to use.
And easy to cut the top with a light pass and follow up with a lower one.

Yes, I agree! What did you use for a camera?

I used a Kodak Easyshare C182. About a $90 job. Has the SD card to load into the computer. Took about 20 minutes to download to YouTube. Mounted the camera on the ROPS.

I'll see about getting a better video of the wing plow.

Some of the wing plow history is on this thread.

Not to be confused with the wing plow that was posted with videos using a wing plow on a mast, and mounted further forward. His were on YouTube here:

Made a snow run yesterday when 6-9" of wet snow fell. Mounted a camera on the ROPS to get some video on the 1/4 mile run. Less than 2 minutes for the three runs. Some cleanup at three turn-arounds for a total of about 20 minutes. That would take a lot longer with a snowblower, and with a blade there is no clean-up time.
Here is the first run. The run back up and the final run back down are on videos 2 and 3
YouTube - 4300 Deere snowplowing 1

That the best snowplowing video I have ever seen. I shows what it is like to plow snow, not a video of someone plowing snow. What tires? Chains? etc.
Looks like you have a formidable snow weapon there.

Thanks James.
Tires are R-4's, and these runs are with no chains. Haven't had the rear chains on all winter, but did have the front chains on for one storm. Normally off unless wet slush/snow causing extra slip.

OK, the snow seems to be coming to an end and I took the opportunity to take some photos of my snow weapon at my city house as well.

This winter I brought the front deck mower from this place
http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...ictures-your-snow-weapons-88.html#post2273494 back to the city for the winter, and got a used 120cm (47") folding V-plow for it. Since I need the tractor at the larger place anyway for clearing snow, the mower has previously been unused all winter.

It's a Husqvarna Rider Proflex 21 AWD. A fantastic machine in all aspects, and it has been really useful for the sidewalk, around the garden and my parking space/driveway.

My 3-year old was happy to model for the pictures!

The machine is small enough to fit on the sidewalk as well as through the garden gate. The turning radius is very small, as seen in one of the pictures leaving only a 60cm (24") circle unplowed.

I haven't had time yet to make a video, but a similar machine (the new, even more powerful professional rider) can be seen here:

That is a fantastic setup ! How much did that v-blade cost ? I am looking to do something like that for breaking trails around my house for walking the dogs. I am in the process of building a similar tractor . I also wanted it small enough to drive through all of my fence gates and be very agile and manuverable. I ended up designing this 20 hp AWD articulating & oscillating tractor that will also get a small front end loader. I call it my glorified wheelbarrow.

That is cool- I can't wait to see the pics from next year!!

Hi, I saw your project earlier in the thread and followed it in the other thread as well. Very impressive build project! I already made a mental note that it was quite similar to my ProFlex machine and that it will surely be very useful. We love the ProFlex, it does 4000 sq m (1 acre) of grass, all in a slope towards the sea. We also use it for transporting all sorts of things with a small trailer. Now it also does winter duty!

The main difference is that it turns its rear axle while your setup is conventional center-articulated. Both solutions have their pros and cons. The other Swedish rider Stiga is also center articulated.

And with a hydraulic V-blade:

The ProFlex AWD is also fully hydraulic, with a separate pump and hose connections to the two Kanzaki TuffTorq K664 hydrostats. Working pressure is 200bars, with a 40 bar utility connection for power steering and implement lift.

I found a slightly used V-plow and paid around 1400 USD for it including the ProFlex quick mount. List price new is $2150.
HUSQVARNA PR 17 AWD - Frontrotorklippare

The machine new was around 20KUSD with the Combi 122 Cutting deck, but all prices here include 25% Sales tax.
