Traction 1026r vs 2025r vs 2032r

So Ralph,

I assume your 2025R is a late 2017 or newer? That tractor wasn't invented yet when this thread was started. The current 2025R is way nicer than the 2025R that it replaced. I would not have a tough time deciding between the 1025R, and the 2025R at this point in time. 2025R all the way! Years ago, the 2025R didn't have an auto connect deck, a major plus for the 1025R. Also the old 2025R FEL wobble stick was kind of janky in my opinion.

Last Friday I left the Tri County Equipment in Burton, MI store where they have new models of 1025R and a 2025R side by side in the show room. Clearly the 2025 is taller and there is more ground clearance. From the seat I could easily see the bottom left and right rear corners of the bucket on the 1025R providing an overall better visual reference than the 2025R. The larger front wheels block that view so relying on the bucket indicator as the only reference. If you work in a confined space the 1025R has a better turning radius. They both look great units for residential and small acreage lots. I really liked the 2025R step up foot bracket which is placed on the left side only, at about perfect height since you don't have to stretch. That bracket would also fit the 1025R from what I could see Some market feedback on each model suggests a split in my local area....Burton stores sells 10/1 1025R where as when I was in Traverse City (3.5Hrs north), MI the JD Store has a wait list on the 2025R until Sept/Oct 2019. Clearly they are very similar units and the 2025R has a price premium. Also, FWIW the TC store had many 1025R with the new Mauser Cab installed and they are really OEM quality pieces. Not so good in the woods but awesome for snow clearing...

My dealer has plenty of 1023Es and 1025Rs and a Sept/Oct wait list for the 2025Rs. That tells me the 1 series has petered out and the 2 series is hot. The sales rep said they have expanded the Georgia plant capacity to get the 2025Rs out the door and into the dealerships. Of course, he is a sales rep so take it with a grain of salt.....
