So after way too long, we had the 1920 Shibarua rebuilt after water got into a piston and shattered the rings. It's back up and running !!! Putting together the pieces and I'm missing the tach cable. Honestly don't even remember removing it so perhaps it's laying around in the garage in my pile of Army truck rebuild parts. Where does it connect on the engine side and will an aftermarket cable work or does it have to specifically be for the 1920? I'm assuming the timing gear cover but the manual doesn't cover it and I can't find a picture of it anywhere. Also, how is it routed? The threaded exit from the tach housing heads towards the exhaust side of the console. Appreciate any pictures if available. Cheers.

Also any break in recommendations appreciated. Already ran it for a spell and changed the oil and filter.

Can I assume it is a Ford 1920 which is a Shibaura? Tach cable attaches to RH side of engine behind injection pump.
