Ford jubilee
I have a 1953 ford jubilee and the coil has power across it randomly. It does not have power most of the time and will not start. Tried three coils two sets of points new condenser and new wiring. This system has been converted to internally regulated 12 volt system.

key switch could be bad run a hot wire from the positive post on the battery to the positive post on the coil and see if it fires

yep.. so far the shotgun parts changing method hasn't worked for ya. try the troubleshooting method that whodat told you about.

always cheaper to troubleshoot than to just start buying parts.

if it starts and runs fine hotwired... start working back from there..
