Found another 7.3 with 157,00 mi.The dealer wants 9,990 is it worth checking out.The add does not state if it's single or duel wheel but it has 4 doors and the long bed.

I have been looking to upgrade to a diesel but nice used are hard to find for a decent price.

Where you are it is almost certainly rusted out from road salt after 10 years.
The trannies in those were WEAK, at that mileage it could be on its fourth and about due for its fifth.

BTW, 4 doors and an 8ft bed make for a LONG truck, I hope you know all your turn-arounds to be wide and gentle.
3 pt turns become 7s.
Forget about trailering a 5th wheel or gooseneck with it.

Interesting and misinformed statement for, at least the transmissions. If it has an auxillary cooler it's probably just fine. Heat kills an automatic not working it and the 7.3 is arguably the best diesel Ford ever offered.

If it's a 4 door 350, it has the same rear end as the dually, 70 corporate full floater, just different hubs if single tire.

Ford pickup's tend to rust out in the rear wheel arches because the double break in the sheet metal breaks the galvanic coating and water and dirt collect there and cause corrosion. Poor design but repairable.

I'd at least go check it out in person. Price seems good.

I will check it out this is what I was looking for 4 doors and long bed.With any luck it had a life in the southern states before it made it to Pa.
