2020 gardens

Enjoyed the last of my tomatoes in a salad today. I shouda stored away more of the green ones.

Y'All come back to the Garden Forum next spring. Yep a foot of snow at 10 deg F ought to put an end to this year. ... Well except for Sonny580. He probably has a way around that....maybe several tons of warm compost will keep him growing something.

Cheers,
Mike

My oats and rye cover is about 4" or so, and provides a snack for the deer. They stop by a couple times a day to graze, and leave complimentary fertilizer to show their appreciation.

Cleaned out the garden all except the strawberry corner, Brussels sprouts, and the raised box of peppers. All else died on the first frost.

Hooked up to my new to me 3 point tiller first time.
I think I’m in love.
After an 8 hp Troybilt Horse I sold, and the two little cultivators I have now, this thing made it too easy!

Got the pumpkin patch tilled, the garlic plot tilled and planted 250 cloves.

Still have to label the garlic rows and cover them for the Vermont winter coming. Think I’ll try to get some straw bales and cover the whole garden this year.

Sonny580, I haven't made any for a few years. Yours looks nice and bright. When I opened your picture of those jars, I said "mmmmm" to myself. :)

oh! i want your method also. I dug up a bunch just a day ago and need to process it. it grows like crazy here in our crappy soil. we love the young greens also, so tasty with a tiny kick of spice.
