x2 with JD755. I've got the same plow. I hook it up about once a year in anticipation of the "big snow". It's usually a waste of my time, primarily b/c it's so much friggin' work to unbolt the FEL brackets and bolt on the plow brackets. **** shame JD didn't make the mount fungible between the two. It's worked well in the snow the few times I've used it in the snow.
I've never used it to push dirt, gravel, etc. I suppose it would work decently well. In fact, just the other day I saw a 790 with a front blade on a construction site being used to push gravel into the excavation for a sidewalk. I think they main advantage there was small size and weight of the 790 for that application.
At the same time, I'd be cautious about using the blade for moving anything other than loose material. The blade construction is reasonably tough, but there's a lot of torque being exerted on the pivot and hydraulics, not to mention the mount. This is especially so when you load up the tip of the blade---the whole system flexes. With regular use in an earthmoving application, where you're likely to be hitting immovable roots and rocks, I think the blade set-up would get over-worked. Compare this to the geomtery of a rear blade, where the span of the TPH arms is much wider and better suited to handling those angular loads.
