4440 sn# breaks

I have a 1978 4440 and they say the first year had 86mm axles. But also the cabs and some other stuff is different. But I can't figure out what is different. Can anyone help me. Also how to u get the front cab mounts out

Frt SGB(cab) mounts(part # R111173) can be removed by unscrewing screw (part # R54745 SELF-LOCKING SCREW 3/4" x 4") from bottom of the mount.

I'm relatively sure that 4440's only had 92 MM axles,4240 had 86 MM axles. 4430 had the axle change from 86 to 92 MM at SN 040770.

SGB's didn't change a lot from 30 through 55 series. Interior colors,radio speakers and outside door handles is all that comes to mind. 86MM axles aren't listed for a 4440 in the parts catalog.

Ok thanks. All I saw was SN# breaks in the parts for the cab early and late but I don't know what's different

There is no SN break on the body in pc # 1898 only SN break I found is on these parts

R50449 PANEL 1 SN - 272636 X X X L.H.
R51704 PANEL 1 SN - 272636 X X X R.H.

JD also offers a SOUND-GARD BODY FOR REPLACEMENT which is for total replacement in case of an accident.
