To take it off you may have to fully extend hoe with teeth down, detach the hydraulic hoses, open the hydraulic valve for the three point, Lift slightly to remove pins, raise three point till hooks clear and drive tractor away. This is how I recall it for my JD 4200 and #47 hoe.

Note: yours may be different. Talk to a JD Service Manager.

Give us a picture of how you have the hydro lines connected now. It sounds like you don't have the power beyond reconnected correctly. That should restore function to the rockshaft.

One thing...when you raise the rockshaft, it won't go very far because of the pins. All it should do is take the pressure off the pins so you can pull them.
