Go to deere.com and click on Build Your Own. Select the model and then select the attachments. This will give you the List Prices for all these items. Depending on your area, you should have no trouble getting 8% off these prices, and by finding a volume dealer you might get 14% off List.

Good luck,

I have been screwing around with tractor quotes since last March.....Quoted on 4320, 4520, and waiting on a quote for a 5055E 4WD with FEL......I qualify under Deere's Equine Discount Program....Since I have a real cash tax loss with the horse farm, maybe it is a "pity discount"

The 4000 series has a 18% discount before, freight, set-up,taxes and the 5000 series has a 15% discount.....the discount on rotary cutters, blades, et.al is less

Two Points:

- The Zero% financing term and or availability is a moving target

- I know folks in 2010 who have bought new 4000 and 5000 series tractors at greater discounts than cited above in VA. with Zero term financing

Frankly, I don't know what I really need versus want......for my almost 30 acre farm....20 acres of pasture, 8 acres of woods, 2 acres with home and a mile long private paved road.

Good luck

My last purchase of the 4520 in 2009 was about 18% off list with 0% financing for 48 months.

Buying a 5055e without many extras may not get as much of a discount though, I would hope for around 10%.

i can't beleive how much prices have gone up on 2 years:confused2: i have a 2008 JD 5203 MFWD(same as a 5055e) and i paid $19,500. this was for a brand new tractor(had 1 hour on the odometer), no taxes(farm exempt), WITH 0% financing for 48 months. had it been a cash deal i could have bought the tractor for $18,500 i was told. your price sounds way wayyy too high but maybe i'm out of the loop and don't realize just how much prices have gone up lately. the price you were quoted was in the ballpark of what a 5403 MFWD(74hp tractor) cost back when i bought my tractor.
