1984 Ford 1710
I have a 1984 ford 1710 with The 770B loader. It is controlled via the diesel Kiki control valve (44703 307104-5540). The valve is leaking when under load. I have searched the net for info on this valve with little to no luck. I am thinking of rebuilding the valve and If that is not an option, then replace it with another.
My questions are:
1. Any insights on a rebuild kit and or what is involved in doing a rebuild?
2. IF rebuild option is no good, what valve would replace the DK valve?
Thanks in advance for any insights and or suggestions.

As a follow up....
I was able to source a diagram and parts list for this valve. Unfortunately the guy said the valve (Diesel Kiki) is no longer available. Doing a search for the washers and seals he informed me that the individual parts are available....
In order to get the 4 washers, 4 seals and 2 dust seals the total came to just under $300.
The complete valve under the new holland number (SBA340011720) is about $400.
So, not wanting to spend that much on a replacement valve, I'd like to source an alternative aftermarket valve.
Anyone care to chime in on how to cross reference a different valve that will work with the FORD 770B loader?
It is on the ford 1710 tractor made in Japan I believe...
Thanks,

First off 300 bux is way too much for seals to fix it up, more like 30.00 on the high side.
clean up valve real good and find out where exactly it’s leaking.
You should be able to fix it up without removing the valve.
I have resealed a bunch of valves, should be good to go unless the spool is damaged.
I have put aftermarket replacement valves on before just takes a bit more work and money.

I agreee completely! Upon inspection of the valve disassembled, one seal was completely missing (disintegrated?) so I do need to replace them. the others were very brittle and also need replacing. That is my problem, $300 for a couple seals and orings? That is why I looking into other options and how I can assure a correct fit. So far, I have contact one tractor service facility to determine availability of parts as well as part numbers. With those numbers, I did a look see on the net and found his prices were better than others, go figure...
So, has anyone done this swap? If so, what did you use and what were the successes and or failures with it?
Thanks,

Just reseal the one you have, Orings are cheap. don’t buy cheap Orings from Harbour Freight or box store. Go to a real tractor or hydraulic store or order on line. faucet Orings are not what you need.

That is / was the plan. Cheap Orings? Not on this one. Check the picture, the smaller one is $8.65 each and the larger one is $24. If I want to do the dust seals (which I should as good practice) those are $58.25 each. There are other items as well but just to get it back running again that is close to $300 for "cheap" orings.
Please, If you have a source for the correct orings, please share. $30 would be great!

Most valves just use Orings to seal the spools. U cup seals are more expensive. I am really surprised to see that kind of seal on your control valve.
Best place I know is https://www.herculesus.com/index.php they should be able to get what you need.
The other option is to replace the valve with a new one.
