A friend of mine is wanting to sell his '97, JD 855. It has turf tires, FEL, series 7 Backhoe around 1000 hours, good condition.

I can't find anything online to compare for pricing. I can find some 855's but not equiped like his.

Any idea what the value would be?

Thanks,
David

Here's one that is close. it's older and has a mower though. It's so much older it may not help you though.

1989 John Deere 855 24 hp. Tractor with 72" mower, 52" front loader, and 7.5' backhoe. Tractor is 2 or 4 wheel drive, diesel, turf tires, three point hitch, with quick attach and dettach attachments. Tractor has around 2,000 hours on it. Tractor is in excellent running condition. Mower deck wheels and blades replaced last year. I have extra blades and wheels for the mower deck along with the third arm for the three point hitch. I have the owner's manuels and maintance receipts. Buyer is responsible for delivering the machine. I don't have a truck or trailer to move this tractor. Asking $11,000.00,or best offer. First person with the cash takes the tractor. Call Marty at 774-991-1265. (pic)

I was thinking 8-10k range.

I was thinking 8-10k range.

I'd say more like 12K to 16K, depending on the condition. Those old 855's and 955's really hold their value. Very tough little tractors.

I'd say around 12-14 grand.

After re-reading your original post about the tractor being sold by a friend...I'd offer 10K. If he's happy with that, you both get a good deal.
If this tractor was on a dealer's lot, it would be 2000 to 6000 more.
I suggest you not wait too long to make your offer...
