I have had Western and Meyer plows......Never had much luck with shoes on them. They still tended to dig into soft ground

Yup. Shoes are best used as a canoe anchor. A pipe over the cutting edge is a much better solution.

The pipe fix, definitely has merit!

The brackets, which I purchased are not the correct ones, as the portions of the bracket to go toward the blade should be wider to allow them to be perpendicular when installed (rather than narrower).

If I knew the dimensions of the Fisher HT bracket, I could weld an additional piece on to make them conform.

What I need:

I added gussets to both sides of each tube holder bracket. They seem to sit nearly perpendicular to the ground. With all the spacers underneath, the blade is about 1-1/2" off the ground. I'll adjust later, if need be.
