Hi everyone,
I have a slight problem with my new (to me) old loader. Its a McCormick Power Loader #50 on an IH 460 utility. 12GPM hydraulic Pump. I had the cylinders rebuilt and all the hoses replaced by a professional, and just installed them. This is the first time the loader has been used in 20 years.
Problem: Lift arms and bucket come down extremely slowly.
Goods: Lift arm goes up very quickly, bucket goes up very quickly. As the lift arms and buckets go down, there is pretty good power. I can easily lift the front end of the tractor off the ground. Its just slow as molasses.
I have slightly more than the recommended hytrans oil in it. (10+ gallons). I haven't checked the oil filter yet, or messed around with the valves. Oil filter is brand new this winter. I haven't checked it yet because I hate loosing expensive oil. If someone thinks that could be it, I'll give it a shot. No significant leaks.
Could it be air in the lines? Valve adjustment?
Thanks
