A very good friend of mine has a scrap business. I've gotten several good AG implements from him over the years. Couple days ago he called to tell me he was cleaning up an Estate property. Said there was a pull type grader there that was being scrapped. I could have it for scrap price if I wanted it. Needless to say, I was onboard. It was located about 2 miles from my Farm. At the Estate of an elderly couple that I grew up around. Howard was a Grader Operator for the local Township all my life. I'm sure he has spend many, many hours on the platform of this machine. I have been a Grader Operator for 27 years. I am extremely honored to have this machine and will NEVER sell it.

After some research I believe it to be a Model 35 CAT grader. With nothing more than a quick greasing everything appears to be operational except the the wheel leans. They might take a bit of work to get them loosened up.

Here's a link to the information that I used to determine the model of this machine. Pull Graders

Any additional information anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated. Hope you enjoy my treasure as I do. I gave $200 for it.

I'd love to have one of those.

I'd been wanting one for several years. In my foggy old memory I recall seeing this one sitting in the dead machinery row years ago. Chance or luck is the only way I got it. Then having the relationship I had with the previous owner just makes it better.

Was parked with the rear wheels shifted all the way to the left, rear tire tracking the front on right side. Table turned left as far as it would go. Wonder if the last thing it did was cut or clean a ditch? :)

I "Restored" that old barn 4 years ago. It's on the farm I grew up on, built in 1946 with rough sawn Cottonwood harvested on the farm. Several have asked me if I'm gonna paint the roof. I quickly say NO. What are some people thinking????

A great story of a great find! We had a similar one at our farm that I wanted, but it was already spoken for by the county museum. From what I was told, it was still fully operable. If I had gotten it, I planned to use it to maintain our neighborhood driveways. At least I know it when to a good home-awesome to know yours will also be preserved.
