Can anybody identify this clutch pack? I have no idea what it is from. Looks to be modified somewhat.

Welcome to the forum. I know I don't recognize it. Do you have any more info about it? Where did it come from? What are you planning to do with it?

What this is going to be used for is to make a posi rearend for an antique puller tractor. This is a setup that has been installed in 460 Farm all puller. This clutch pack is installed on the brake pinion shaft. The large nut is used to adjust the pressure. If the rear end was locked, it would be very hard to turn. What this does is make both rear tires turn together at the same rate under a hard pull but if you need to steer, you hit the brake pedal, which releases the clutch pack, and once the tractor is pointed in the right direction, the rear end locks up again. We understand how to make this work but need to find out the application this clutch pack was originally used for so we can buy another one.

OK..... I seen this clutch pack in person the other day. It is custom made with a few off the shelf parts that I need identified. Attached are some new pictures. What I would like to identify or find out out where to get or an application that these parts are used in. In the first picture is a 10 spine to 10 spline reducer of some kind. Ignore the brass bushing. In the second picture you see a 6 spline stub shaft of some sort with a 3/4" hole in the center and a key way and has threads on it The nut that threads on is 2.25" wide or you have to use a wrench with a 2.25" jaw opening to tighten. The other end has been milled down about 1/2" to the thickness you see in pic 5. Also in pic 5 you can see clutch disk and satin black steel plate. The clutch disk is 3.5" in diam and the center hole is 1.680" and is 0.128" thick. The black satin finish steel plate is also 3.5" in diam and is 0.270" thick. I would guess that all the parts shown in pic 4 are all part of a kit of some sort other that the welded housing. Inside the welded housing is another clutch disk and black satin steel plate.

Hope this makes it easier for someone to help identify or recognize.

From what I have found, these parts look like what could be found in a "great lakes" style slip clutch from a mower or bush hog maybe?
