Yea. You could go down 42" or so, depending on fork length. Multiple passes of course. You had to clean out the trench how?

works well when going straight. you can back up then just work forward again. we have clay soil here so side wall cave in is not a real issue. As long as you don't hit REAL large rock so trench doesn't get to wide. You need to get creative for corners. I end up loosing the dirt then hand digging.

I purchased a back hoe attachment for the skid loader. I will still use the forks if I do not have to go below frost line. Example being power line. it is fast and clean narrow trench.

IH Farmall made Landside Plows for the Cub tractor, It was a left hand, and a right hand single bottom for side hill plowing. I once used an extra set to build a trench plow. I used a 1956 Dodge Power Wagon to pull. It worked, sort of. I'd guess I got 12" of depth in gravel "boney" soil. It wasn't the success I was hoping for.
