Escavader,

Thanks for the pics and update.... I'm really looking forward to your report...
I'm pretty sure this is the chipper I'm going to buy...

I love the fact that it is very compact yet very heavy duty...

It will also fit in the corner of my barn nicely...

Regards,
Chris

Escavader,

Do you think heavy duty swivel casters could be welded to the feet on that unit...
It would make alignment and storage in the barn easier..

Chris

CHRIS,
I think that would be a nice idea.i had a heck of a time hooking and aligning it to the tractor-it drags hard even on a cement floor.my only concern would be the wheels in the dirt when you set it down.whay im going to do is put my snowmobile dolly wheels under it to roll it to the back corner of the garage.only problem is i only got 3,got to pick up another,or make one.if you make wheels for it,id be able to unhook them easy to use in the woods-mabey drill holes in the feet and use heavy caster wheels ,you can pull right out, before you set it down.I THINK I JUST TALKED MYSELF INTO IT.
i ain t going to get a chance for a few days to try the salsco again, back to the weekly grind dont you know, when i do ill be sure to post a report and pics.after my quick trial i got an awful good feeling about this chipper.

Escavader,

Maybe all you need is a dolly larger enough to set the unit down on.
You may have to adjust the legs up to put it on the dolly.

Dollies are the only way to move these things around without killing yourself...
I built some low ones... But each wheel would only carry 50 lbs...
You need wheels that can handle over 100 lbs each...

Chris
