I'm assuming the Bs & BXes have a drawbar. If so you REALLY should use them instead of the 3pt. A 3pt with a heavy trailer can lift the 3pt & roll the tractor when the center of gravity suddenly changes. Not a big deal for a light trailer or on flat ground. But if there are any hills or unexpected dips it can get dangerous quickly.

The point about the draw bar is a good one.

In my case I was running the trailer with the rear gate off, so loading for the most part was above and in front of the trailer axle. Plenty of down force on the hitch end.

The advantage of using the 3PH was when dumping I could raise the 3PH and get a few more degrees steeper angle so the load came out easier (damp, somewhat sticky clay).
