Just finished my plow set up - pick of a brand new (2003 vintage) Curtis 72 inch manual blade off of Craigslist (sat in a barn never used) - purchased new hydraulic cylinders and cross over relief valve.

I wanted to post this since I agonized during my purchase if the 72 inch blade was too large for the B2*20 series - but was pleasantly surprised how well it worked. With the Box Blade the entire set up seems to be very stable (Curtis weighs the blade in at 485 lbs). Also at the 30 degree angle it provides a nice clearance on each side on the small B. Overall I am ecstatic on the set up - no more looking backwards with a rear blade. Now let it snow! :dance1:

Did you fab up the loader attachment?

Did you fab up the loader attachment?

Ah - yes great question - I knew I had to mod the frame of the adapter since Curtis does not make a plow for the B2*20 series. In fact the plow actually was for a L series so the bracket distance for the loader pins was too wide so I had a local fab show cut the ends right off and reweld them on the top of the loader adapter itself. The wood piece in the photo shows where the bracket had to be moved to - over it came out great (although needs paint) . I wish I had a welder for all the times I had to take something to these guys - but they are reasonable and do a professional job.

Here is a pic of the bracket before (and after) I had them cut it.

Several years ago I bought my Curtis plow off of CL. Got a sweet deal on it at the time. Since I don't weld, I had a friend cut the old tabs off and reset the pins for my B7610.
I had the hydraulics already for my grapple. I picked up a pressure relief valve & 2 Fisher pistons. With the plow on front & a 60" blower on the back, I do not worry about snow storms any more.
