Does anyone know the production years for the B7100? I cannot find any published source (serial number guide, blue book, etc) that shows them after 1986. However, I see a lot of them advertised as being from the 1990s.

I have the book "the official tractor blue book" 2007 edition.

It seems like there are multiple B7100 entries
1977-1979 B7100DT

1980-1984 B7100 DT, HSD, HSE

1992 B7100 DT, E, HSD, HSE
1993-1998 B7100 HSD

2000 B7100 HSD

Not sure why 1999 has no entry, perhaps a typo...

From what I've read, the easiest way to tell the difference between the 1970s models and the 1980-newer is to look at the front wheels. Four lugs means it's the older style. Six lugs means it's 1980 or newer.

Perhaps somebody else could confirm this and possibly add another way to easily narrow down the year of an unknown B7100.

I don't know about the production years, but I bought a new one in 1995 with a B1630C front end loader. The salesman told me that the B7100 was one of their best selling models and when Kubota quit making it, the dealers complained until Kubota started making it again.

Incidentally, I traded that B7100 back to the dealer for a B2710 in 1999 and the last time I saw that salesman about 6 years ago, he said he had sold my little B7100 four times; said everyone liked it, and it was still in great condition, but everyone who bought it came back later and traded it in on a new tractor with power steering. The lack of power steering seems to have been the major drawback, but otherwise they're fine little tractors.

Does anyone know what they sold for in the early 80's. My father bought it new and I just sold it a couple weeks ago after buying a loaded B2920. It was a great piece of equipment and the new owner is picking it up next week. Just curious....Thanks

I bought mine in 1993. Gave $8000 for tractor and $2300 or so for loader.

I bought my B7100 new in 1978 with a Woods 4ft mower, Woods cat0 backblade and a Kubota single bottom plow. I got $500 off because my boss and the tractor dealer owner were good friends. I don't remember what each piece cost, but the 3 yr loan came to $4200. I still have and use the tractor.
