Not to be technical, but don't you mean a ballast barrel?

it's something about that cylindrical shape....

I justed looked at one of the bags, it's called Quikrete Mason Mix with sand. I read the fine print and it said it contains Portland Cement. 80 lb bag.

Mason mix, masonary mix, Sand mix, concrete mix all contain portland cement oh well, bottom line is that it is an 80# bag. 5 of them equals 400 lbs. plsu add another 25 lbs or so for the water that doesn't dry out of the mix.

About 425 lb. is what you have in your barrel, once it's cured.
