Bolens finish mower model 1348 needing parts

I think you might be right why it broke, you might want to put in a softer shear pin. I don't know S---- about what kind of metal to make it out of. Maybe the guys at work can help or someone here well see this and give you the info. I sure would go for making it.

Sorry for the delay in answering, my life lately has been a PITA to say the least.

I have asked and begged to make it at work but it is a no go unless I pay for materials, labor and have a detailed drawing of the part to be made, it has to be treated as a request from any outside customer.

The part made then shipped to my door from the OEM will run me less than it will cost for me to have it made where I work so I'm having the OEM make it and mail it to me when it's finished in about 12 weeks, I'm hoping the new part will work since my gearbox is over 20 years old now.
