My gargen/lawn tractor was idling and I was over checking a faucet.
Then a clacky "blang" noise.
Seemed to be running a little funny right before the incident.

Now... motor is running good, very smooth, but she won't move.
Hydrastatic transmission.

No signs of any type of oil leakage on the ground or on motor.

We're having a pretty rough storm right now; so the mower is still in the garden.

Just wanted some ideas of what to look for when I can get outside.

Thanks!
Rain eased up so I could take a quick look. Mowing deck will not raise or lower and mower will not will not move forward or backward.

Hydraulic line??

I'm guessing your drive belt broke, or one of the pulleys broke

The G1800 is a shaft drive from the engine to the HST transmission and hydraulic pump. My guess is that one of your U-joints cratered on either end of the driveshaft. Remove the deck and you should be able to easily see the problem. You can probably see it with a flashlight even without removing the deck.
