Those are cool! And home made. Real fabrication deserves a thread, not a $23.99 hook set and drilling 4 holes.

Am I the only one that wants hooks down low on back of bucket much closer to the tractor ?

so much better for lifting heavy objects imo
Nice work there. One thing I like about hooks on the top of the bucket is the ability to pull up on the chain using the bucket curl.

They would have to be welded on as you did or the bolt heads could cause material to stick in the bucket.

No, mine is on the back of the bucket. Used an existing hole:

The back of JD OEM buckets are double walled

Then welding is the only option on the back of that JD bucket. No way would you want to drill & bolt thru both walls.
