I need to pay my debt.
A couple of months ago, I posted some questions about rafters on an outdoor kitchen I was building. You provided me with some good information and I promised to post pictures of the finished project. Between work, weather and money, I finally finished it this last week-end.
I know the design/aesthetic may not be one that everyone likes, but I figure we can all agree to disagree. Besides, none of you live near me, so you don't have to look at it:licking:.
The structure is all cedar. Some of the cedar is new, some is "recycled" from other projects that didn't work out or are left overs that were hanging around the property. The roof is made from polycarbonate sheets as well as are the solid side panels (for wind protection). The floor is slate (left over from a outdoor patio) dry set in a sand base. For the structural connections, I used the timber locs which saved a ton of time (versus lag bolts). I also used the Kreg HD pocket hole jig for several of the connections--I fell in love with the Kreg jig and was finding reasons to use it .
BTW, the bus stop title comes from my FiL who made the comment that I had built a bus stop for an outdoor kitchen.
