I'm purchasing his TACH-N-GO, fixed forks, and ripper tooth.
Good on you! I am planning to fab a narrow trenching shovel for the receiver.

There should absolutely be no reason you couldn't hack off the headache bar just above the upper cross member. But maybe your payload warrant a higher back support? I'm thinking I would strap whatever down if I was concerned about leaning against it. For block and other heavy objects that I might typically move, the lift limitation of the BX will be met before the height of the rack.
To be honest, I didn't look closely at your design... and of course talk to Jery before you do it but unless that torsion bar is providing some stiffness to keep it form 'racking' I don't see the harm other than possibly to your hood  What I can't see in your pic is whether there is sufficient backing for the frame near the member that forks are hanging on but seeing the construction of mine, I quite happy with the design and build.

Well, I had the opportunity to play with Jery's fixed forks today. At my dad's house, my brother dropped some dead ash last yr or the year before. Dad and I skidded them out of the woods to cut up for firewood. I wanted the wood as lumber, but we figured the pieces were too knotted to be of any value. He has a JD 1070 with a skidding winch. Tried to skid out 8ft piece, but had difficulty with the rough terrain, nose kept digging into the dirt. Could not get closer then 50ft from the butt. Ended up cutting it into 2 4ft pieces. Worked with a bit of grunt effort on my part. Once out in the clearing, I used Jery's fixed forks and his Tach-N-Go on my BX2230 to lift the peices off the ground onto some runners. BX had a Kubota weight box with (4) 60lbs sand bags in it. Woodweb.com calculator figured weight as 781 lbs for a 4ft long, 24 inches in diameter for black ash. (not sure how dry pieces were in relation to formula). Tractordata says 950 lbs breakout force, 460 lbs lift to full height at pin. So I think I am happy. Yes the front tires were squished a bit. But didn't travel very far, and ground was fairly level here. Enjoy. Jon

Wow, Jon, that is amazing. The specs for your loader would suggest that there's no way that you could lift almost 800 pounds that far away from your FEL connection point. Were you able to actually raise the lift arms with the log sitting that far out? Seems impossible to me.

The larger left log was placed first on the rails. Then the right one was placed next to it and it rolled tight. Took tractor to get the camera, came back to lift the right one. Being tight to left, I had to lift with the tips. It lifted, but I could tell it was getting to max. Now the 781 lbs supposedly weight: I think mine was white ash. Woodweb did not have white ash. It had black ash, which I used. Tree was dead before being cut down, then laid on the ground a year or two. How does that effect the moisture content on the log? Can't answer. I wish I had my trailer tongue weigh scale with me. I would have found a way to balance the log on it. At least I know it can lift about 500 to 600 lbs. But also need to remember of the stress on the front axle and tires. Jon

Picked up my Tach-N-Go and a set of fixed forks from the terminal this afternoon.

Any tips / tricks to removing the factory pin-on bucket on my BX2370-1?

It's easy as long as the zerks have been kept greased. Undo the bolts and punch out the pins. Keep them clean when you remove and mount them back on the bucket. You should have received new pins for the QA.

Got the Tach-N-Go atttached. Went well, but I haven't figured out how to line up the holes for nut / bolt on the pins.

I went with the fixed forks so I could use them with on the 3pt with the Land Pride QH05.

I only played with it for a few minutes, but so far it does not appear to be compatible with the QH05.

I've had the BXpanded quick-on pallet forks for a while. I've collected a few small pallets. Of course none of them are compatible with Jery's fixed forks. Not a big deal.
