Mahindra 2615HST has the heel & toe on the right. The brake pedals are also on the right. Hitting either brake disengages cruise control.

...and to add to what PineRidge said:

In addition the two HST pedals on the right are clearly marked with big orange direction arrows that even I can see. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Brake pedals on left. Brake pedals may be tied together or separated. When separated, either pedal may be pressed without cancelling cruise. Also, cruise is achieved by holding the HST pedal position with an electromagnet. Cruise is enabled/disabled with a switch on the right fender console and does not rely on the tractor being in gear or moving to engage. In other words, you can turn on the key with the engine off and the cruise switch will engage the electromagnet. Neither the engine nor the transmission are needed to enable cruise.

Cruise can be enabled only with the switch on the fender, but it can be disabled by the fender switch, both brake pedals, or turning off the ignition switch momentarily in an emergency.

THe Case/IH/Farmall DX35/40/45 operate the same as the New Holland TC35/40/45DA models.

Whew! I didn't know there was so much to describing just one model of tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Still good stuff to know about when your only HST background involves a mechanical linkage between the brake and the HST lever on an old Cadet.

Intalling a switch in an electrically controlled system would allow a guy to decide if he wants the brake to shut off the cruise or not, which would make using the turning brake on tractors where a single pedal cancels cruise a possibility. Chalk one up for the drive by wire technology.

Power Trac has right foot pedal forward, left foot pedal backwards( click here for picture of pedals ).

Our late 70's IH had forward and reverse pedals operated by the left foot and turning brakes(or stopping brakes if operated together) operated by the right foot.
