I know a guy who says he can get me a look at one someday.

I have been to the mines, but the draglines are always working so far away to see them.

Now that is awesome!!! Thanks for the post/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif. I have watched these babies on TLC (the learning channel) and am glued to the tube until it's over. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. Hopefully somebody will remind me to check the site out later this week. Ha,ha.

Rus, I saw my first walking dragline on a boy scout campout 30 years ago. It was awesome. I still love those big pieces of equipment. Thanks for sharing the link /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I believe on the Discovery channel about a month a go there was hour long show about those earth gaints.

I'm sure there safe enough..but when the lighting snapping around I wouldn't want to be inside nor around one of them..yikes. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

I'm only about 15 miles away from the Silver Spade. I haven't seen it for a long time. I
have a friend who works there. I think I'll have to take a ride out that way soon. Good
trip for a Sunday afternoon. It is one massive piece of equipement.

I saw the "Big Muskie" before it was dismantelled. What a monster! My daughter's school is called the "Little Muskies". That mining area is now a wildlife reserve.
